About Us

Getting to know US

We are a strong team of 4 working together to empower all breeds while educating future generations.

  • Lucy is the founder of Furever Pawprints. She first created her page to share dogs at Miami Dade Animal Service. After volunteering for a year, she realized all the extra work that needed to be done in the rescue community. She decided to work with a trainer that specializes in helping rescues with behavioral cases while implementing what she's learned to foster special need dogs.
  • Luna, our co-founder, was the reason why Lucy started doing what she is doing today. Luna is a 9-year-old American Bully. She has changed not only Lucy's life but every life she meets. Although she is one of the sweetest and happiest dogs anyone can meet, she faces major discrimination. Once Luna came into Lucy's life, Lucy had a better perspective of what she wanted to do and why. That is, to stand up for dogs like Luna.
  • Chico, a 15+ year old Shih Tzu, adds the sassiness to our creative ideas. Chico was rescued from the streets of Miami, severely matted, malnourished, missing teeth, and completely neglected for a long time. Chico is living his life but will continue to represents all those dogs that have been neglected and discarded onto the streets.
  • Blaze, a 3+ year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, was rescued November 18th 2021. He has suffered severe trauma from being abused for a long period of time.  Blaze was extremely abused to the point where his body would lock up and he was not able to walk when humans were in sight. When Lucy started to foster Blaze, it took her nearly a week to get him to learn how to walk on a leash. Today, he is now walking freely and knows several commands now. He still has a long way to recovery but he continues to improve every day. Blaze is not only representing our rescue community, but he stands for those dogs that are special needs, abused and abandoned dogs.
