How YOU can help

There are many ways you can help make an impact in the rescue community. Although many people think it's all about "Donations", that is NOT the only way you can give back. If you're short on funds, don't want to donate, or would like to see where your efforts are going to, try considering the following:

1. Foster: If you'd like to directly make an impact, consider fostering for your local shelter or preferred rescue. You can choose how long and which dog you'd like to help. You may not think fostering one day can make a difference but it sure does! One rescue going into foster care means one more space the rescue/shelter has to care for another dog in need. Rescues and shelters usually provide all the resources you need to care for the animal. All you need to do is provide them some love and a safe place for them to be.

2. Donate unwanted items: Do you have any old towels, sheets or dog beds? Do NOT dispose of them! Donate all toys, bowls, dog accessories, bedding, towels, etc. to your local animal shelters. Dogs in need will appreciate that towel at night. If you'd like to donate food, shelters/rescues would also greatly appreciate that.

3. Re-post/Share: If you come across a page on social media that you like, please share it! Whether its a fundraiser, a post, or sharing a rescues account, the more people see it, the more support that rescue will get.

4. Add rescues on Amazon: Are you an amazon member? Add your favorite rescues to your profile! Every time you make a purchase on anything, Amazon will donate a percentage back to the rescue of choice. All you have to do is add them to your account. It's that easy.

5. Volunteer: If you can't foster or donate, you can always volunteer! Signing up to volunteer at your local shelter is something that can be so effective. With the shelters reaching capacity, shelters need all the helping hands they can get. Something as small as walking 5-10 dogs for 5-10 minutes a week, can make a huge difference! Anything and everything will help our shelter employees and our adoptable pets.

6. Support small businesses that give back: Supporting businesses like ours, not only helps small businesses stay alive, but helps our local rescues stay alive as well. Supporting small businesses that give back is such a great way to give back to your community.
